Content summary:
- Grok Bot updates X search and monitoring features; all users can have the Bot gather posts and track topics without linking an X account or configuring a connector.
- Grok Bot integrated with X as early as August, when an account had to be linked and posts were queried via the X API; now it can directly use built-in tools to search and read X.
- Combined with the existing scheduled task feature, the Bot can regularly check the latest posts, organize them, and send them back to the conversation.
- Developers reveal that querying X previously incurred costs, but read-only queries are now free, though rate limits still apply; non-read-only operations such as posting still require configuring an X connector.
- Officials have not yet announced the specific free query quota.
