本书的作者沃尔特·伊萨克森也大有来头，他之前还写过达芬奇传、爱因斯坦传和富兰克林传，并因乔布斯的官方传记而为国内读者熟知。为了给新书造势，艾萨克森最近也开始在个人平台上不断透露马斯克传的部分内容。比如围绕最近大火的Cybertruck，他就讲到了当初马斯克力排众议确定整车定型的细节…

比如围绕最近大火的Cybertruck，他就讲到了当初马斯克力排众议确定整车定型的细节：

大约6年前，马斯克和特斯拉首席设计师Franz坐在一起，看着一辆福特皮卡。马斯克说，这辆车很无聊，而他不喜欢无聊的事情。他提出了很多电影、科幻小说、电子游戏的内容给大家，但遭到了大家的反击。但最后马斯克说，停，我们要做点新的东西，要让我们的皮卡变得极其前卫。

而在2017年的一周星期五下午，马斯克下达命令：我们将用不锈钢来生产Cybertruck。马斯克说，“不锈钢的使用为皮卡的外观开辟了新的可能性。”

“不像传统使用冲压机将碳纤维雕刻成具有微妙曲线和形状的车身面板那样，不锈钢则偏向于使用直线和锐角。这就允许——在某种程度上也迫使——设计团队去探索更未来、更前卫、甚至更刺耳的想法。”
