The poster @TheNewGrid posted a video yesterday, and it has already gotten over 420,000 views:

His Model Y drove up to a four-way stop intersection, with FSD v14.3.10 enabled at the time, and the speed mode was "Hurry" (aggressive). A car was coming from the cross direction, and it looked like it would stop before the stop sign, so the car drove into the intersection. But the other party did not stop at all, and FSD suddenly braked in the middle of the intersection, while the other car sped past in front.

The poster said: "Thank you Tesla FSD for saving my life. If I had been driving manually at the time, I definitely would have crashed."

📌 A few details

• At the time it was in "Hurry" mode, and FSD's driving style is already somewhat aggressive
• The poster confirmed this was a four-way stop intersection, but the stop markings on the ground had faded very badly
• The comments were almost unanimously praising it, and some also took the opportunity to call for buying more $TSLA

Silicon Valley 101's latest in-depth video interviewed multiple former Tesla software and hardware engineers, and shared quite a few internal stories that have rarely been made public:

🔹 Musk believed "humans only have two eyes," cut one front-facing camera, and slammed the table and cursed at people during meetings. Later, a blind spot appeared at the front of the car, so it was added back
🔹 The three-chip motherboard was already made, but one or two months before mass production it was changed back to dual-chip because it was "too expensive"
🔹 The real reason for removing radar is said to be that suppliers ran out of stock during the pandemic, not that the technology was already mature
🔹 The end-to-end overhaul reduced 300,000 lines of code to 2,000 lines
🔹 The AI5 chip project was reportedly concealed by its lead for a long time; "two more months" was said for almost a year, after which Musk fired a batch of people
🔹 The cost of the entire HW4 autonomous driving hardware is roughly equivalent to an iPad

📍 At the beginning of the video there is also an on-site test ride of the Cybercab in Austin: two seats, no steering wheel, and no pedals.

💡 The video's conclusion: 13 years later, Tesla and Waymo's two approaches still have not produced a winner. Autonomous driving has entered the second half, where what is compared is safety, cost, and scale; the technical route is no longer the key.

On the second day that Tesla Cybercab was open to the public in Austin, blogger Dave Lee took two rides, each over 40 minutes. His verdict: better than expected.

✅ The good parts

• Lots of legroom, quiet interior, comfortable seats
• 22-inch large screen, nothing blocking the front, reclining the seat to watch YouTube is like watching TV at home
• No steering wheel, pedals, or dashboard, so there's none of the awkward feeling of "where did the driver go"; he said it actually made him feel safer

⚠️ The shortcomings

• The chassis is on the stiff side, close to the ride feel of Model 3, and could be tuned to be more comfortable
• The windows can only be opened a small crack
• On average you have to wait 40 to 45 minutes to get a car

💡 His judgment: once a city has several thousand Cybercabs and the wait time drops to around 5 minutes, the shape of ride-hailing may be rewritten.

Well-known Tesla blogger Nic Cruz Patane just posted a real-world test video: letting Tesla FSD drive on Toronto's Highway 401 — this road has a daily traffic volume of over 500,000 vehicles and is called one of the busiest highways in the world.
